We got our school supply list from kindergarten and now we’re in the throes of “Back To School” shopping. But I started thinking about other kids that can't buy all the supplies and how we could help. I talked with my kids about this and my oldest said, “I can share my crayons mom!”
So we headed to the 99¢ store, picked out the supplies, sat in the back of my car to fill up the backpacks and dropped them off. I treated them to ice cream for doing a good deed. And also because it’s still someone’s birthday semanas. (see stories for more!)
We donated our backpacks to Community Christian Service Agency in Clairemont because it was close to us. Can you believe they only had ONE backpack donated prior to ours?! And they close their school drive THIS FRIDAY.
If you’re in Clairemont, please fill up and drop off a backpack by this Friday. Ours cost about $15 at the 99¢ store.
Otherwise you can check out 7 other school drives below that I could find. The last 2 accept money online; which is sometimes easier.
If you know of any others, please share in comments or send me a message and I’ll add it to this list.
If you want to donate, HURRY! Some of these supply drives close SOON!!
